Linn Kurosawa, from aliens vs predator the arcade game. I can honestly say she is one of my favorite characters in video games and very bad ass being able to hold her own against an xenomorph swarm. If only capcom owned the rights to her so she could be in Marvel vs Capcom :/ Anyways the character was made in illustrator and the bg was photoshop. enjoy

Here comes Jedah! His whole concept is pretty sick, that he actually a liquid man and just manifested the form we see, if you look at moves closely he does some crazy stuff as normal punch and kick attacks, like cutting is wrists and cutting his head off.
This was done for FGE / Game-Art-HQ collaboration project and heres a link to the main project page http://www.game-art-hq.com/a-tribute-to-the-boss-round-1-fighting-games/ . Had fun working on it.

YOU ALL KNOW WHO THIS GUY IS AND WHERE HE'S FROM. Even though I don't like using him in street fighter, he has to be one of the funnest character designs in the game, just his proportions in general are interesting, huge shoulders, hands, and feet, and the rest is skin and bones. lol it creates a great silhouette. And his ability to stretch his arms and feet are dope too.

A tribute piece to Macho Man Randy Savage. Rasslor! a villain from the "Dial M for Monkey" shorts on Dexter's Lab cartoon. I always love the monkey episodes, especially the fact that they made fun of alot of old school superheroes. the rasslor episode was my fav one, when i heard macho man passed away, one of my friends suggested I do a tribute piece, so bam! here it is. Rasslor the character macho man provided the voice for. ohhhhh yeaaaaahhhhh! rest in peace macho man aka "RASSLOR!"

What started as a warm up sketch last night before I finished the scorpion piece. I had to finish it...X-men's Jubilee. No clue why just felt like drawing her. And it gave me a good excuse to use bright saturated colors . enjoy

Couldn't stop after Mileena. Here is the last of the Mortal Kombat characters I wanted to redesign for a deviantart monthly drawing theme. Scorpion from Mortal Kombat, I always thought his skull head was badass, I remember seeing the original fatality back when I was in elementary school, and seeing a ninja with a skull head blowing fire was kickass. So here it is. enjoy

The title says it all, basically a redesign of Mileena from MK. I really enjoyed doing this piece. At first i planned to have her rocking a belt on her waist with 2 heads on it. But i decided not to because it would make her look too beastly and she would lose her sexyness. I think the tattoo sleeves give enough of both, sexyness and badass-itude. Enjoy

I was mostly inspired by the mortal kombat legacy trailer where you get a few peeks at sub zero. I liked that they made his design more capable of handling the cold elements but I thought they could have pushed it more, so I did, gave him a mixture but heavily on the eskimo feel, thick hoodie, big ass heavy boots and the fur I think give it a dope touch, besides the bandana over the face. Enjoy

Its been a looooong time (13 years) since I've done an non-objective composition. This time the experience was much more pleasant and relaxing than the last time I had to. The last time was also my first time doing a non-objective piece which was back when I was a freshman in highschool. That was the first time I had to go outside my comfort zone and draw something that doesn't resemble anything. Glad I went through it because it broke down a huge wall, creative wise. So here's my second one. Done in illustrator and photoshop. Enjoy copyright rob crump 2011

I had so much fun working on this piece. An awesome Artist and good friend Joe Largent http://joelargent.com/ asked me to take a crack at inking and coloring one of his illustrations. I inked this in illustrator and colored in photoshop. The drawing and characters are owned by joe largent.

Hsein Ko or Lei Lei, doesn't matter it still makes up for an interesting designed character and back story. I think the huge sleeves and claws really bring alot to her overall design, not to mention she pulls weapons out of them. I sketched her awhile back but never had the interest to finish it until today. 100% vector. Man i love illustrator.

Here's my newest illustration. Took me awhile to work on this one because I had no clue what to do. I started with my character "rox" which i finished awhile back in december. I didn't want to just leave him by himself with no background so then I spent 3/4 of january experimenting with different techniques and comps, for example one was making it more like a japanese magazine cover. Finally I was inspired to make it more graphic based and text. This is my most fav piece so far. Enjoy
